FAQ
What’s the schedule like?
There’s going to be a good mix of programming and downtime. We’ll have 3 main sessions where we’ll hear from our guest speaker. Saturday afternoon will be leisurely with time to just chill or do fun activities.
Can I just come up for the day?
This year, we won’t be offering a day-pass option. Please plan on coming for the entire weekend to get the full experience!
What will childcare look like?
We plan on having childcare and kids programming during all the main sessions. The plan is to also have some childcare during Saturday free time so parents can catch a little break. Parents, we got you!
What should I pack?
The semi-private rooms have linens and towels provided. For bunk-style rooms, please bring your own. You’ll want to pack toiletries, sandals, comfortable shoes, swimsuit, sunscreen, water bottle. Feel free to bring games and outdoor activities.
How do meals work?
Tejas has a great dining service. Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as Sunday breakfast and lunch are included. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
Wifi and Connectivity?
Cell service may be spotty, but there is WIFI available in the main areas. We’re told that Verizon has a strong signal there.
What are the rooms like?
We’ve reserved semi-private rooms and bunk-style rooms. Semi-private rooms fit 4-6 people and have an attached bathroom. Bunk-style rooms fit 12 individuals and have one bathroom. Online pics are available.
Where?
Camp Tejas is a full-service retreat site with tons of activities and great accommodations.
Tejas Camp Waivers - every adult (18 and over) is required to fill one out. For 2-parent families: Parent 1 signs waiver and lists all children. Parent 2 signs their own waiver. Children only need to be listed once. Please fill this out as soon as you can. (Click here)
Check in time is Fri, March 5 @ 4-5 PM - try to plan to work a half day to account for Fri rush hour traffic. Dinner will be served Fri night at 6pm. We estimate most folks will need about 2-3 hrs to get there by 4, so plan accordingly.
Check out time is Sun, March 7 @ 11 AM - our retreat does NOT include lunch on Sunday. We'll pack up and hit the road before lunch. Please plan to stay the entire retreat (Friday to Sunday).
Packing List and Housing Confirmations - pack swimwear, closed toe shoes, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, towels for the pool, flashlight, umbrella, & board games for free time.
You will receive an email from Pastor Grace this week confirming whether you'll be staying in a bunkhouse or semi-private room.
If you're staying in one of the bunkhouses, you'll need to bring linens, pillows, and bath towels. These items are included in the semi-private rooms.
