Vox Storytellers: Artist Voices

52922947_2223471981052558_3882743722273669120_o.jpg

Vox Culture is launching Vox Storytellers: Artist Voices. The event will host six thoughtfully curated speakers, all Houston-based artists representing diverse backgrounds and artistic disciplines who will share their individual tales as to how mental health has played a role in their art work. Artists presenting include:

▪ Betirri Bengtson ▪ Vanessa Longoria ▪ Robyn Blodgett ▪ Johnathon M. Espinoza ▪ Nguyen T. Nguyen ▪ Ruby Rivera (TX Salsa Congress)

Sharing stories goes back to the most fundamental ways of building human connections. Vox Culture feels that it pays to sometimes dig back through our layers of modernity and embrace the calm poise of storytelling; all in an attempt to know each other better. The goal of this event is to connect Houstonians together in a deeper, more thoughtful way.

Time: Saturday March 23rd at 2:45 - 5:45

Place: Cafeza, 1720 Houston Ave, Houston TX 77007

Register: Event is free by please RSVP below.

Vox Culture Wisdom High School Garden Project

vox culture Martin Bailey Garden Project.jpg

Vox Culture is working in collaboration with Wisdom High School and
the Rotary Club to build an organic garden on school grounds. This
project is a combined effort that will enable students to learn
agriculture, organic farming, and business skills. Local business and
restaurants are also getting involved.
On Saturday Nov 17, volunteer groups will be building the garden with
the materials donated by supporters. Local artists are also working on
murals for the walls around the garden. If you would like to know more
or sign up to volunteer, email Ted Law at ted.law@voxculture.org.
