Let’s explore what’s in common and what distinguishes one from another. Hopefully we can gain some clarity together!

FREE Webinar: Servant, Steward, Shepherd: Learning to Lead Like Jesus

FREE WEBINAR: Servant, Steward, Shepherd: Learning to Lead Like Jesus

What does it mean to be a leader? Strong? Decisive? Determined? Visionary? These are good qualities but they don’t tell the whole story. Particularly in the realm of Spiritual Leadership, more is needed to be the kind of leader who cares about the spiritual growth of others, who sees people and listens to them, who raises others up, who leads by serving and empowers others to do the same.

Join us for this free Zoom webinar as our panelists discuss what it means to learn to lead like Jesus.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday 4/27/2022 at 3:00 PM CT

Spiritual Community

Spiritual Community

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday 4/18/2022 at 3:00 PM CT

Today we are seeing an unprecedented dismantling of community in our churches and ministries, our personal lives and families, and especially in our wider culture. An “us/them” mentality has formed, and individuals are “self-editing” their personal lives, all to the detriment of building healthy community. It’s time to return to a grace-based, fully-present, with-and-for-one-another way of being. The biblical text is rich for our consideration and application of genuine spiritual community. Join us as we explore this important topic together.

Sabbath seems like a no-brainer. But, of all the 10 commandments, it’s the one we take for granted and rather loosely tend to ignore. God is a champion of creative work, that’s for sure. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday 11/15/2021, 4PM (Eastern Time)

The Enneagram is a powerful self-awareness tool that helps us explore the diverse personality traits, gifts, vices, and “deadly sins” that describe our unique selves. Soul Care Retreat: Waiting on God

c9526ddc-1aa3-4ca5-bfc1-f7e5f7852384.jpg

WAITING ON GOD

Presently, our experience as Christians involves the blending of two realities. On the one hand we experience joy in Messiah’s coming and his triumph over sin and death, and the Gift of the Holy Spirit now living in our hearts. On the other hand, a deep yearning for Christ to come again with righteousness and justice, in power and glory aches within us. During this retreat we will tend to our experience of grief, longing, mourning and waiting as acts of faith while we live out our days in a fallen, imperfect and corruptible world. Come, Lord Jesus.

COST
$35 per person.

Contemplative Spiritual Direction: An Introduction

Banner_Workshop_Contemplative-Spiritual-Direction.jpg

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday October 19, 2021 at 4:00 PM ET

And what do we mean when we say a model is “contemplative”? Join us as together we explore some of these questions, and experience a taste of contemplative listening.

For those who desire an add-on of an individual spiritual direction session, an opportunity will be offered with your registration to sign up for a follow-up session with a spiritual director (1 hour), at a mutually agreed upon time on Thursday afternoon or Saturday (details will be sent via e-mail).

He Makes Me Lie Down: The Gift and Practice of Sabbath with Mark Buchanan

He_Makes_Me_Lie_Down.jpg

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday 10/7/2021, 4:00 PM (Eastern)

He makes me lie down. This may be David’s deepest insight into the heart of God: a God so intent on our flourishing that his first gift to us is rest. Before God calls us to action, he summons us to stillness. He quiets us with his love. He restores our souls.

This is captured in God’s gift of Sabbath. Sabbath is more than a day. It is a place of abundance and overflow, a place where we rest from our own striving and rest in God’s bounty and goodness. It is a place of renewal and orientation from which all our work and activity flows.

In this workshop, author and professor Mark Buchanan (author of  The Rest of God: Restoring Your Soul by Restoring Sabbath) will explore both the gift and the practice of Sabbath. We will look at Sabbath biblically, historically, theologically – but, above all, practically. Participants will come away with sense of the richness of the ancient practice of Sabbath-keeping, and with fresh motivation and strategies to live from the Sabbath.
